Heatherbrae completed the seismic upgrade, and heritage renovation for St. Andrew’s Wesley Church in Vancouver. The roof of the church was removed and replaced with a new copper roof reinforced with plywood and steel. Molds of the church’s arches were made to replace arch sections that had to be removed.

Structural reinforced concrete walls were overlaid against the existing walls. Fiber Reinforced Polymer was used to enhance the strength of concrete columns and structural arches beneath the plaster shells. The Church’s bell tower required renovations and seismic upgrades. Other work included repointing and restraining of granite facades, the removal of church’s pews, addition of a second organ, bathroom renovations, and installation of mobility lifts.
